Truer

Truer is an autobiographical series that explores the heightened, fragile and often temporal nature of love. The work renders visible social expectations of romantic narratives’Äìas heterosexual and gender conforming. Shot over a seven month period, the series is raw, intimate and frank in it's approach. The centrality of female desire is a prominent theme within the work. In this way and others, Truer departs from conventional depictions of female bodies and sexuality in western art.
